Explore the Temples:
Banteay Chhmar temple is located in Banteay Meanchey province, about 20 km east of the Thai border, and was built during the reign of Jayavarman VII in the late 12th or early 13th century. One of the shrines of this temple used to have a statue of King Srey Nantra Kumara Rajabot (Prince), probably the son of Jayavarman VII. A long ancient Khmer inscription has been found at the site (K.227) and is now on display at the National Museum in Phnom Penh, describing how this prince or king was protected on two different occasions by government officials. All four, Who lost their lives in self-defense. Inscriptions list the names of these officials and tell us that their personalities are placed in the four corners of the sanctuary.
Banteay Thom is about 5 km south of Banteay Chhmar, and the temple has five large stupas that look dilapidated. Incredible, though large. The temple does not look big, but satellite images show it in the middle of an area that is 800 meters long and 500 meters wide. It may not be a good idea to take refuge in the temple grounds, it is vague but you can still get some lovely pictures from the outside.
Ang Trapeang Thmor are large 'barays' or man-made reservoirs that were originally built in Khmer Rouge Regime by slaves. In addition to being home to more than 300 Sarus cranes during the dry season (non-breeding), more than 200 other species of birds occur here, of which 18 species are classified as universal or endangered. This is also one of the few places in Cambodia where you can see the endangered Eld deer. The best time to see the Sarus crane is from January to May, although the abundance of birds makes it a valuable year-round breeding ground, it is not uncommon to see 80+ species. Per day, It is a place where we love to watch birds and we found rare birds such as the Black-necked Stork, Greater Spotted Eagle and during March and April Plowing season.

Tips:
- Payment for the tour will only be required at the end of the tour (you do not have to pay in advance or deposit) and cash in dollars only (no credit card payment required).
- The official currency of Cambodia is the Cambodian Riel (KHR), however, USD $ is used everywhere in the country and most prices are denominated in dollars. We advise you to bring US dollars and remember to bring new and clean banknotes as old or torn banknotes will not be accepted in most places.
- ATMs are available almost everywhere in the city as well and make it easy to withdraw cash in dollars. Usually the exchange rate is around 4,000 Riel to 1 USD, so if you give 2 USD for something worth 6000 Riel, you will get back usually 2000 Riel.
Remark:
Please note that you must be dressed for visiting some of our temples, Angkor Wat, Ba Phnom, Phnom Bakheng and climb the same temple. This means that your pants or skirt should cover your knees and the shirt should not be sleeveless (make sure your shirt covers your shoulders, not a bra) otherwise you will not be allowed in. Or up there is done by the church authorities. Walking shoes are recommended and light cotton clothing is also recommended for the weather from March to July as it is very hot with high humidity. We suggest you bring your camera charger, then you can refill it during your lunch break at the restaurant.
